JSSK Christmas Party

Many thanks to everyone who showed up on December 15 and made the Christmas party a most memorable JSSK event of the year 2007.

We started out with a glass of glögg in hand, listening to a presentation by Hiroyuki Hotta who gave many hints why Finnair would be the preferred airline when flying to Europe.

After a welcome speech by Governor Ido we had a good old snaps toast, and then the eating and drinking started off for real. Frida Jansson from the Swedish Embassy who had made the trip to Kobe for the party, along with more than sixty guests who had gathered from near and far, all seemed to enjoy the Swedish Christmas food, drinks, singing, Santa Claus visit, and warm energy generated by everyone around.

It was somewhat entertaining to see that the Japanese people present at the party scored a whole lot higher than many of the Swedes on the quiz prepared by JSSK. That goes to say that we sure are doing a good job in promoting Sweden over here in Japan.  Let’s keep doing that in 2008, and beyond.

Thank you for your support, merry Christmas and all the very best to all of you for 2008.
